How to Fit a Helmet
Helmets must fit properly to be effective.
-
A helmet should sit level on the top of the head, NOT tilted forward or back, about 2 finger widths above the eyebrows.
-
The helmet should not be able to move back and forth or from side to side. Use the dial at the back of the helmet to achieve the perfect fit.
-
The straps should straddle the ears to keep the helmet secure on the head in the event of a fall.
-
The chin strap should be buckled with room for 2 fingers between the strap and the chin.
Take the helmet test below to make sure your helmet fits properly.
